Volunteer
Many people donate their time during our annual powwows. They came from churches, civic groups, and corporations-many were individuals who simply felt a strong calling to help in any way they could. Hundreds of other county residents, groups, and organizations donated money, food, or life skills expertise (and in many cases, all three!) to help The Appalachian Nation Cherokee Foodbank meet the needs of our tribes' less fortunate.

For Scout Troops, both Girls and Boys ( ages 14 and up), volunteering during our Powwows is a great way to achieve badge work requirements. For Leaders of the Boys and Girls Club, volunteering during our Powwows has been known to give children a chance to learn about our people and our culture. We also need volunteers to help set up the area for our Food Bank donations.
